Being able to do freelance work ever since I was in college has allowed me to be able to enhance my design skills as well as communicate professionally with a client. Some of these projects I did for pay, others I did for free. Regardless, doing freelance has provided many opportunities to improve my design skills, have extra income, and allowing me to do the work I enjoy all at once.
NEW PALESTINE BIBLE CHURCH TRI-FOLD
I had the wonderful opportunity to redesign a welcome tri-fold for New Palestine Bible Church. The majority of the content was already in place, as well as the logo. However, I was able to do a total redesign on the flyer for the church, mainly by adding large images, bright colors, and cutting down on unnecessary content. This project is one of my favorite I've done, as it was the first design project I did outside of school where I saw the end result in my hand. That feeling is very rewarding, and I am proud of how the tri-fold came out.
STADIUM SEAT DEPOT
Stadium Seat Depot is a small business that takes old and used stadium seating and resells them with plaques or as is as mementos or decoration. A friend of mine referred them to me to help them remake their Facebook ads, as well as some half page flyers and brochures. The company provided the dimensions and pictures, and we collaborated on the text and content. In the end, they were very happy with the end result, as it was much more modern, professional, and simpler than the previous ones they had.
SUNSHINE ENDURANCE DRAG RACING
One of my friends owns a drag racing team, and also is in the process of trying to set up his own drag racing event in Florida. He reached out to me to design his logo, as well as rebrand his website. Because of the nature of the event, and since it was in Florida, he wanted that to all be included in the logo. After going through several options with him and making several versions, he ultimately chose the logo you see below. For his website, he had the pages and some of the content already set up. I was able to recolor and rebrand the website to make it and the logo as cohesive as possible. I also created a flyer for him as well.
