Ivy Tech is a community college in Indiana that I had the pleasure of interning with as a graphic designer and marketer. from my sophomore year until graduation. After graduation, I was able to work as a part time employee for several months after graduation as well. The time at Ivy Tech was invaluable; I not only learned so much as a designer and marketer, but it allowed me to learn how to communicate, time manage, project manage and many other valuable traits in a professional manner. Below are just some of the projects I had the opportunity to work on while there.
The last major project I did for Ivy Tech was to design the 2022 graduation commencement suite. This suite included program covers, digital and print invites, email headers and more. The college wanted two design options for each piece, so below you'll see some examples of different pieces with the two design options. While I started a new job before they decided on which version to move forward with, I was so proud to be able to design something that would be seen by so many, as well as be so important to so many graduates.
Victory Field Banners
I had the amazing opportunity to create two banner ads for the Indianapolis Indians baseball team who play at Victory Field, as part of a partnership with the team and Ivy Tech. The goal for these two ads was to create a 10 second long motion graphic that would play inside the stadium during games, advertising Ivy Tech in a quick and simple way. Firstly, I created the design, layout, and objects in Illustrator. I then took the project into After Effects to animate it.

Holiday Season Gif
As part of a holiday season social media campaign, I created this animated gif that was put onto the colleges Instagram. To start, I created a static png without the snow flakes. I then took it into after effects and added the snow falling.
Doing digital and social media work was an important part of my work at Ivy Tech. While the pieces themselves may not be as large or impressive at times, these were usually seen by significantly more people. Whether it was an email header, an Instagram ad, or a digital pdf on the website, these were used to communicate important information to the viewer. Below are some examples of the type of digital work that I did.
As a large part of my responsibilities as a graphic designer, I had to design a large amount of materials that were to be printed. Some were meant only for a campus, others were meant to be made and printed by the college statewide. Regardless of the purpose, it gave me a great opportunity to design and work with important aspects of printing such as bleeds, margins, proper colors, etc. Below are some examples of the print work I did.
